The CH25 Lounge Chair from 1950 was one of the first pieces designed by

Hans J. Wegner for the manufacturer Carl Hansen & Søn. The tapered legs and the seat

floating over the front legs give the design classic an unmistakable lightness. The

mesh of the informally elegant armchair consists of about 300 meters of paper cord,

and takes about 8 to 10 hours to produce. In addition to the CH25 armchair, Wegner

and Carl Hansen & Søn collaborated on countless objects, many of them design icons

such as the Shell Chair or the Wishbone Chair.
